Logging In
Once you've launched the app, you'll need to log in:
Enter the email address associated with your VWG.app account
Input your password
Click the "Login" button
Preparing ODIS
ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) is a crucial component for diagnostic and programming functions. VWG.app needs to configure ODIS to work correctly:
After logging in, locate and click the "Prepare ODIS" button in the main interface
The app will automatically configure ODIS for optimal performance with VWG.app
Wait for the process to complete - this may take a few minutes
Once finished, you'll see a confirmation message
During the ODIS preparation process, VWG.app:
Sets up necessary system files and directories
Configures communication protocols
Ensures compatibility with your purchased brand licenses
Note: Do not interrupt this process. If you encounter any issues, contact support for assistance.
Selecting a Brand and Starting
After ODIS is prepared, you're ready to begin using VWG.app:
In the main interface, you'll see a dropdown menu or list of brands
Select the brand you want to work with (ensure you've purchased a license for this brand)
Once a brand is selected, the "Start" button will become active
Click the "Start" button to initialize the connection with your vehicle
What happens after pressing "Start":
VWG.app will load brand-specific modules and databases
The system will prepare to communicate with your vehicle
You'll be taken to the main diagnostic interface for the selected brand
Remember to connect your vehicle to your computer using the appropriate hardware interface before starting a diagnostic session.
